Ring Carving Workshops

During 2 hours with me you’ll carve a unique, one-of-a-kind ring using jewellers wax and a selection of tools. Carving wax gives you endless options to freely design the ring of your dreams. Your bespoke wax ring will then be transformed into recycled sterling silver in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter using the lost-wax casting process. The rings are then finished by hand and ready for collection or posting in around 3 weeks.
The ticket price is for a standard sized solid silver ring (4mm wide). Your ring can be polished to a mirror finish or a satin (matte) finish.
Your ticket includes a complimentary cocktail/non-alcoholic alternative!
Available at additional costs (and with additional lead times) are:
✿ Casting of a second ring
✿ Casting of a super chunky ring (8mm)
✿ Gold vermeil (thick gold plating)
✿ Casting in solid yellow, rose or white gold
✿ Casting in sentimental gold you may already have
✿ Hallmarking
✿ Engraving
✿ Stone setting
Please note each of these services have a lead time of 3 working weeks on top of the casting/finishing time.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners with no previous jewellery making experience. Participants must be 18 and over.

Your rings can be cast in recycled sterling silver or solid gold (yellow, rose or white). Once you’ve made your wax ring I can weigh it and quote how much it would cost in your precious metal of choice. You could choose to have your rings cast in sentimental gold that you may already have! Afterwards, I can hallmark, engrave or add stones to your rings.
