Unable to attend a workshop or just fancy carving a ring in your own time, from your own home?
From wax to silver. Have fun making something special with a personal touch. Spend as long as you like carving a unique, one of a kind ring from jewellers wax. Post your bespoke wax ring back to me and it will be transformed into recycled sterling silver using the process of lost wax casting. Your ring will then be hand finished and posted back to you within around 3 weeks.
What’s included?
Written instructions + links to a video demonstration and inspiration board
Sized wax ring blank + spare
Thumb protector
Sandpaper (coarse and fine)
Tealight
Plaster (just in case!)
Solid silver casting and hand finishing and polishing of your ring
Safe, signed for return postage of your finished silver ring (UK only - International customers will need to pay £7 towards the cost of return postage of finished silver rings)
What will I need?
A protective surface eg. a cutting mat or chopping board
A sturdy craft knife
A lighter
Some good lighting
You will also need to pay to safely post your wax ring back to me (so bubblewrapped, boxed and insured to be safe!).
I am not repsonsible for any wax rings which get lost or damaged on their way to me.
I recommend these Stanley knives. I’m sorry I am not allowed to post knives or lighters 😥
Sizing
If you don’t know your UK ring size I can send you a sizer ahead of sending your kit. It’s important to try and get this right but if you’re really, really stuck and your kit is a gift then here is a guide:
extra small - I
small - L
medium - O
large - R
extra large - U
If you’re unsure of the size when placing your order then you will need to also purchase a ring sizer
If you receive your kit and the wax is the wrong size then you can swap it free of charge ~ you’ll just need to pay for the postage of replacement waxes
Please note that wax ring blanks start at a UK size I. If you’d like to make a smaller ring then it will need down-sizing once it’s silver and there will be an additional charge for this
If you’ve made your ring in silver and it needs resizing afterwards then there will be an additional charge for this

Please note that due to the increasing cost of materials, there may be a small additional charge towards silver casting if your kit is returned later than 6 months after the date of purchase. Thank you for understanding.
